Bali Ride 100 was an event organized by Bali’s fixed gear community, Psyclopista. Around 80 fixed gear cyclist from around Indonesia (and even some foreign riders) rode roughly 100km (70 miles) from Renon, Denpasar to Virgin Beach, Karangasem.
The ride was highlighted by plenty of long gradient climbs and descents, but it was during the last 8km stretch before the beach where the steepest and longest climb took place.
I know this is probably nothing compared to most climbs cyclists tackle in other parts of the world, but I’m sure everyone who took part in this ride will never forget this climb, and here it is in a continuous uncut shot.
I’ll work on an edit for the entire Bali ride, but for now this is it.
A super huge round of applause for Psyclopista who set this up, they did a fantastic job in organizing, managing, and overseeing the ride, and a bloody great job in selecting the route, putting the riders through more than we’re normally used to, and ending up at one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen,…that’s what I call ending it on a high note!
Plus they had free flow beer! (Bintang of course!)
